Petrobras announced this Monday (2) an average reduction of 11.6% in the price of Aviation Kerosene (QAV) for distributors. The readjustment came into effect on January 1, 2023.
This is the second consecutive drop in the price of fuel passed on to distributors. According to Petrobras, there has been a 22.5% reduction in QAV since July, after five readjustments since then.
“Petrobras QAV sales prices seek balance with the market and follow changes in the value of the product and the exchange rate, up and down, with readjustments applied on a monthly basis, mitigating the daily volatility of international quotations and the exchange rate”, stated the state-owned company.
The company also highlighted that Aviation Kerosene price adjustments are monthly and defined through contractual formulas negotiated with the distributors themselves.
